Journalism,
writing, and teaching
for those who care
Hi! I’m Gina.
I’m a New York City based journalist and educator. I work as a freelance content strategist, book collaborator, and educator.
I report behavioral health, labor, spirituality, and human interest stories for publications such as The New York Times, NPR’s Life Kit, Boston Globe’s STAT News, Marie Claire, The Guardian, The Los Angeles Times, Reader’s Digest, Teen Vogue, Glamour, CNN Health, New York magazine’s The Cut, Psychology Today, and HuffPost. My work has been translated into several languages and shared by labor leaders, congresspeople, activists, influencers, and celebrities.
I also serve as an editorial collaborator leading my voice and subject matter expertise to produce meaningful content with like-minded organizations as a copywriter, script writer, and creative strategist. In this capacity, I have produced an audio series for a well-being app, ghostwritten a book for a big five publisher, ran a newsletter for a nonprofit, led social media for a community center, and edited Build-A-Habit Guide, a mental health journal. My clients include clinicians, health centers, start-ups, and community organizations.
Previously I worked as staff writer at Healthline Media, a billon dollar publisher, as a staff writer for Psych Central, a title that reaches over a million readers per month, where I helped create a central hub for content about healing from trauma. Before that, I served as a senior editor at Medium and a blog/community editor at HuffPost. I received my B.A from Temple University and M.F.A from Columbia University.
