Hi! I’m Gina.

I’m a New York City based journalist and educator.

I report on behavioral health, labor, spirituality, and human-interest stories for publications such as The New York Times, NPR’s Life Kit, Boston Globe’s STAT News, Marie Claire, The Guardian, The Los Angeles Times, CNN Health, New York magazine’s The Cut, and many other publications. My work has been translated into several languages and shared by labor leaders, members of Congress, activists, influencers, and celebrities. 

I also serve as an editorial collaborator, lending my voice and subject-matter expertise to produce meaningful content with like-minded organizations as a copywriter, scriptwriter, editor, and creative strategist. In this capacity, I have produced several podcasts, run newsletters, led social media campaigns, and ghostwritten a book.

Previously, I worked as a staff writer at Healthline Media, a billion-dollar publisher, as a staff writer for Psych Central, a title that reaches over a million readers per month, where I helped create a central hub for content about healing from trauma. Before that, I served as a senior editor at Medium and a blog/community editor at HuffPost. I received my B.A from Temple University and M.F.A from Columbia University.
